I wrote this many years ago, during the time I was doing a stint on a reality music show called Project Fame, which lasted all of one season in South Africa. At the time I was dealing with mass confusion, in my early twenties, as to why my girlfriend of three years suddenly wanted to take a break. She had given no explanation and I had become shamefully co-dependant on her. I wrote this song in desperation to get her back. The only problem with this attempt to beg for her back via a song was that she hated my music. She hated soul music. The song had no place to go until my current reality. While the lyric's well over a decade old, gave the impression of desperation and longing, the very same lyrics, given a different tone and period in my life, suddenly meant celebration..."I cant be with anybody else, everybody else is just a fake imitation of you, you, you… There's nobody else but you, you, you...’cos nobody else will do, do, do… ‘cos nobody else is you, you, you!"
